Free Financial Calculators
Plan loans, mortgages, savings, investments and everyday money decisions with these free financial calculators. Each one shows the formula it uses so you can check the math yourself.
- EMI / Loan calculator – EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n ÷ ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan, r the monthly rate and n the months. Total interest is EMI × n − P.
- Compound Interest calculator – Final amount = P × (1 + r/n)^(n×t), where r is the annual rate, n the compounding periods per year and t the years.
- Simple Interest calculator – Interest = P × r × t ÷ 100, with no interest on interest. Total = P + interest.
- SIP calculator – Future value = P × ((1+m)^n − 1) ÷ m × (1+m), where m is the monthly return and n the number of monthly investments.
- CAGR calculator – CAGR = (ending value ÷ beginning value)^(1 ÷ years) − 1. It smooths uneven yearly returns into one steady rate.
- ROI calculator – ROI % = (amount returned − amount invested) ÷ amount invested × 100.
- Inflation calculator – Future cost = amount × (1 + inflation)^years. Purchasing power today = amount ÷ (1 + inflation)^years.
- GST / Sales Tax calculator – Tax = price × rate ÷ 100. To remove tax from a total, divide the total by (1 + rate ÷ 100).
- Discount calculator – Sale price = price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). You save price × discount ÷ 100.
- Margin & Markup calculator – Margin % = (price − cost) ÷ price × 100. Markup % = (price − cost) ÷ cost × 100.
- Break-even calculator – Break-even units = fixed costs ÷ (price per unit − variable cost per unit).
- Salary calculator – Yearly pay = hourly rate × hours per week × weeks per year. Monthly = yearly ÷ 12.
- Savings Goal calculator – Monthly saving = (target − current savings grown at the return) × m ÷ ((1+m)^n − 1), where m is the monthly return.
- Tip calculator – Tip = bill × tip % ÷ 100. Per person = (bill + tip) ÷ people.
- Position Size (Trading) calculator – Quantity = (capital × risk %) ÷ |entry price − stop-loss|. It caps the loss if your stop is hit.
- Mortgage calculator – Monthly payment uses the loan formula on price minus down payment. Property tax is price × tax rate ÷ 12 per month.
- Retirement Corpus calculator – Expenses are inflated to retirement age, then the corpus is the present value of those yearly expenses over retirement, using the return above inflation.
